Students

Laura York is a Graduate Research Assistant for the Center for Public Health Practice and Research. She is a second year Master of Public Health student, in the Public Health Education concentration. Laura graduated from East Carolina University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, with a concentration in Community Health and a minor in Human Development and Family Services. She also has obtained a Certificate of Gerontology and has a specific interest in Geriatric care services.

Laura collaborates with the Institute for Policy and Governance at Virginia Tech on the Connection to Care project based in Roanoke, VA. She also works with New River Valley Community Services on the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic project. She assists with process evaluation, interviews, data analysis, and data entry for those projects. 

Becky Willis is a Graduate Research Assistant for the Center for Public Health Practice and Research. She is a second year Master of Public Health student, in the Public Health Education concentration. Becky graduated from Virginia Tech in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Becky assists with data entry, management, and analysis for various center projects.
